In Ljubljana, Velenje, Maribor and Kranj, festive lights have been turned on, capturing the magic of December.

During December, several festive markets and events related to festivities will take place.

In Ljubljana, this year the Trubarjeva Street will be decorated with special umbrella-like lights, and Zvezda Park will be pure magic. After a festive market was opened in Pogačar Square this Sunday, this morning also festive markets in the Breg, Cankar Enbankment, as well as Prešeren and Congress Squares were opened. In Prešeren Square, St. Nicholas market is taking place this week, where on Thursday children will gather in anticipation of St. Nicholas' arrival. The capital’s novelty is a straw crib, which will be on display in front of Zois Mansion.

At 5 pm, festive lights went on also in Maribor and Kranj. In Maribor, the stalls with unique products will occupy the streets and squares up until the end of this month.
