Dense traffic has been reported yesterday on the coastal A1 motorway at the exit Unec towards Koper and the situation is expected to remain bad until the end of October due to roadworks. On the same section of the coastal A1 motorway in the direction of Ljubljana works will be completed next Friday.

Motorway company Dars says that works cannot be continued overnight to speed up the process. They say the job needs to be done well and takes time to be completed in order to last in the long-run.

Currently Dars is also carrying out road works on the A1 motorway from Vransko towards Blagovica and on the A2 motorway in the tunnel Karavanke.
