After his victorious feats in Argentina and Mexico, the Slovenian motocross racer has once again stood on the podium. However, this time it was Italian Antonio Cairoli who climbed the top step. Gajser took third place after the first round but won the second one, which sufficed for a silver medal at the fifth world championship motocross race in Trentino.

The Slovenian, who is currently the overall leader in the elite MXGP class, had travelled to Italy from Mexico, where he secured the top position in the overall standings with 156 points, while the closest rival Cairoli had 136. After Sunday’s race, the difference has dropped to 18 points.
