In the past they have already been successful at the competition "My Country - Beautiful and Hospitable" organized by the Slovenian Tourist Association. This year they added to their achievements the second place in the Slovenian Tourist Sites category. Following the proposal of the panel of judges of the Sevnica community, Tourist Association which was in charge of the grading within the municipality, the first step was the recognition by the regional commission of Tržišče as the most beautifully arranged tourist site in Posavje. In the end of August the neatness and the hospitality were checked by the state commission, and to Tržišče the high second place in the category of tourist sites with less than 2000 inhabitants was assigned.

It did not come as a great surprise for the inhabitants of Tržišče, as they take care of the appearance of their village, and its hospitality through sustainable effort. Therefore the acknowledgment is earned by all the inhabitants, the local community as a whole, and the societies active in the community.
Milena Knez, President of the Tržišče Tourist Society, says they deserve the acknowledgment, and continues: "We received the acknowledgment for our care for the tidiness of our village, which demands practically constant work. People are willing to participate, and join forces. Most certainly our well known hospitality brought a lot of points. 15 societies are active in our local community, and when necessary we know how to get together and do the necessary work, which also brings us amusement, and sociability."
The panel of juries placed importance mostly at the orderliness of main urban elements, transport areas, tidiness, protection of natural and cultural heritage, orderliness of elements of communal infrastructure, tourist arrangements, and the offer of the village. The acknowledgement was received at the ceremony which was this year an integral part of the Days of Slovenian Tourism held in Portorož. At the same occasion the member of the municipal tourist association Marta Kralj received an acknowledgment for her volunteer work in the tourist society organisation. She said: "They say that you are appreciated and respected just as much as you appreciate and respect yourself. And as the inhabitants of the local community Tržišče feel good at our home village, we are sure that tourists experience the same feeling when visiting, as they come back with pleasure."
During the entire year a number of events are organized. The most notable is the mountain race for the Malkovec cup; this year they have prepared "Autumn in village", an event lasting several days. Years ago the museum train used to bring numerous visitors to "Autumn meeting in Tržišče". They have started considering the possibility of organizing again another event on a similar scale, which would bring even more people into the Mirna valley, and the surrounding hills with vineyards. They are already discussing the project with the Zagon society, and they hope they will be able to revive the event soon.
