At the altitude of almost 1500 metres, it is a heaven on Earth for nature lovers. You can discover the beauties of Rogla on foot, rollerblades, or bike. The Lovrenc lakes (Lovrenška jezera) remain among the most popular destination. The trail takes you in turn over meadows and through woods to the Lovrenc lakes – a vast peat swamp of 19 lakes, a unique natural phenomenon.
Passing the Lovrenc lakes, a hiker can turn left towards west, and after crossing grassy plains reach Črne mlake (peat swamp) follow the forest road until the Šiklarica mountain pass (1298 metres), and then climb the Jezerski vrh peak. Just below the summit a trail branches off towards the Ribniško lake.
The view from the Jezerski vrh (with a monument dedicated to the National Liberation War) is stunning. Ribniška hut is only 15 minutes away. The trail goes on all the way to the Črni vrh summit, the highest peak of Pohorje.
