PM Miro Cerar sent a holiday message that reformation was needed today as well. He asked that we be led by the call for reforming our spirit and society, for that was the only way to overcome the crisis and open the door to a better future.

The central figure of Slovenia's reformation movement was Primož Trubar, who also wrote the first book in Slovenian language. This year marks the 450th anniversary of the publishing of his Cerkovna Ordninga (Church Order).

The main event marking the holiday was held in Nova Gorica yesterday. Slovenia has been celebrating the holiday since 1992.
