Mining company Velenje Premogovnik will be temporarily headed by Ivan Pohorec, now manager of production and the main technical manager for the company.

This will allow for the immediate resumption of negotiations with the miners' strike committees. Negotiations are expected to continue today. Miners at Trbovlje, meanwhile, are on a warning strike until Monday, but will now negotiate with management on the payment of full wages in January. If the payment is not delivered, a strike will begin on Monday.
