On Thursday, Slovenia’s Eurovision Song Contest representative was received by Ambassador Nataša Prah. He then attended a party organized by Montenegro. There, a gathering of the former Yugoslavia in miniature took place, as Naber posed for photos with representatives of Macedonia, Croatia, and Serbia -- Jana Burčeska, Jacques Houdek, and Tijana Bogičević. The three formed an impromptu choir and sang Naber’s song On My Way.

On Friday morning, Naber was once again in his stage clothes, and he completed his second rehearsal before Tuesday’s crucial performance in the first semifinals. “It seems I did better in my second rehearsal than in the first one. This makes sense and is the reason why we have several rehearsals in the first place,” said Naber after the second rehearsal. “We didn’t have any major problems, and I’m satisfied with both of my rehearsals, especially the second.”

Naber then took part in a press conference, where he sang in Arabic at the request of journalists. Apparently, they wanted to know more about his background, since Naber’s father is a native of Jordan.

When asked about his predictions for Tuesday night, Naber had a simple reply: “I don’t want to complicate things too much. I’ll try to represent Slovenia and introduce my song to Europe and the world to the best of my abilities. I’ll give it all I’ve got, and what happens, happens.”

The Eurovision Village in Kiev also opened its doors on Tuesday. It serves as the official gathering spot for all fans of the festival. It was opened by Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko
