At the session, the Minister of Finance, Andrej Bertoncelj, assured that the government would respect the fiscal rule, promising that the first budget document would be ready in one week. The government also has until mid-October to send its draft budget to Brussels. The minister confirmed that the government would stick to the timetable.
The picture is clearer when it comes to taxes. Among the priorities the minister highlighted a comprehensive restructuring plan on taxes, in order to reduce the tax burden on work, and the introduction of real estate tax.
