On Saturday, October 3, the second Styria Beer Festival will take place in Maribor. Along with the local craft beer producer some craft breweries from the neighbouring countries will be present – we could say that practically all the regular attendants will be there, those who can take the credit for the boom of craft beer production in our country. Pelicon from Ajdovščina will be there with several types of beer: Out of China, Summer Ale, and the last achievement by Anita and Matej, Harvest Moon (beer made of fresh hops).
From the Gorica region also several award winners Reservoir Dogs are coming. Besides the four horsemen of apocalypse, visitors will be able to taste the new Wet dreams. Varissh is also bringing a novelty to Maribor - Deep Purple IPA. Both micro breweries from Kamnik are also promising a full force attack on Styria with General Maister and Mali Grad (novelties: hefeweizen and harvest amber ale).
Kostanj Brewerie from Gornja Radgona is bringing lagers, Dr. Orel will introduce the first 100% buckwheat beer in the world, the Štajerc brewery ČiliBeer, Cannabis, pale lager and Dry hoped lager, the local producers LiLa MiSa's IPA Mike's-Brewerey from Pekre their Dark Ale, American IPA and Friendly Ale, while Bru Kru Brewery and one of the smallest local breweries Brew Revolt Brewery are coming to Maribor as well. You will have the opportunity to get to know the newest local brewery Tektonik from Ljubljana.
In Kobarid on the other hand they have joined forces for the third Festival of Food and Art. The Jestival has become a gastronomic-artistic fusion, offering good food and art. For the former Ana Roš and Valter Kramar, chefs from Franko House will be in charge, while for the latter the organizers rely on film director Jan Cvitkovič and various artists, among them Rudi Skočir, Stanka Golob, Damijan Kracina and Vasja Kavčič.
"Tastes" will be at disposal to visitors also at the lakes of Pivka on October 4 for the first time. In the Ekomuzeju (Ecological museum) of the Pivka intermittent lakes in Slovenska vas at Pivka the Tastes of Pivka lakes event will be organized, with Pivka cuisine in the leading role.
