Vtič has managed to show the day’s longest jump in the first series of jumps. The Slovenian landed at 101.5 metres but still came one point short – Takanashi’s jump from a lower starting position was only six metres shorter (95.5 m).
Vtič jumped 93 metres in the second run, while the Japanese landed at 97.5 metres, achieving her 31st win in the World Cup. The third place went to Maren Lundby of Norway.
Rogelj and Požun also win points
Among five Slovenian jumpers two made it into the final. Špela Rogelj, who won last year’s match in Lillehammer, took 19th place while Katja Požun was 26th. Ema Klinec (32.) and Urša Bogataj (40.) did not jump far enough. The next two matches will be next weekend In Nizhny Tagil, Russia.
