"It will be mostly sunny tomorrow with occasional clouds in the afternoon. On the night to Sunday, and on Sunday, a few rain drops can be expected. However, we emphasize that the rainfall will be light," is what meteorologist, Janez Markošek, told MMC.

The rain intensity won't be as such as to make you open your umbrellas. However Markošek wittily advised to have "a rain coats just in case."

No strong winds
Snow is possible in places around 1000 meters above sea level. Planica and Kranjska Gora are situated a good 800 meters above the sea. Meteorologists are unable to give a precise forecast of whether we can expect light rain, light snow, or a combination of both.

Temperatures on Saturday morning will be below the freezing point. In the evening there will be a weak southwesterly wind. It will be warmer on Sunday morning and temperatures will climb to around 2 degrees Celsius.

There will be no lack of parties
The party atmosphere is already under way. The partying from Planica will then move to Rateče, where the Zahod Band will be performing tonight. This evening will also see the drawing of the starting numbers for Saturday's competition.

The fun will reach its peak on Saturday evening in Kranjska Gora. At 6 p.m. there will be an outdoor concert by the Rock Partyzans and Atomik Harmonik in front of the Vitranc sports hall. The Kranjska Gora tourist office also informs that "sexy winter weekend parties" will take place in the bar of the Suite Klass hotel on Friday and Saturday.
