The Zagreb court made a judgment in two cases, involving lawsuits against LB and the losses of savings in that bank. The Court ruled in favor of two Croatian banks, ruling that the Ljubljana bank should pay back EUR 27 million plus interest. However, the judgment is not yet final.
The judge ruled that the Ljubljana Bank and its legal successor should repay two Croatian banks. A representative of the Ljubljana bank said that there will probably be an appeal but will first wait for a response from Ljubljana. The ruling came despite a memorandum signed last year by both countries, where they agreed to solve the issue via talks.
