Mira Stušek from the Hospice association received the top volunteering award for 2022.
Stušek is the co-founder and president of the Gorenjska branch of the Slovenian Hospice Association, with 27 years of volunteer work behind her.
With the Hospice association she played a vital role in ensuring that the programs for the terminally and chronically ill, and their families, are accessible to all. Stušek has also been active at the Slovenian Red Cross in Radovljica.
The national award for exceptional volunteering achievements was awarded by President Nataša Pirc Musar.
