World bee day will this year honor Anton Janša, a pioneer of modern apiculture. The Beekeepers' Association has been working hard to establish the International Anton Janša School to educate young people about the tradition of beekeeping. They have also been setting up educational beehives in Slovenian primary schools to teach children about beekeeping.
