Kirsten Hempkin, originally from Scotland, has been living and teaching in Slovenia for around 22 years now. She works at the Faculty of Arts in Maribor, is a mother of two, the wife of a philosopher, and lives by a river. Kirsten has no regrets about coming to Slovenia, says her children have become little Slovenes, and doesn't see going back to Scotland as an option for her family.
