The seasonally adjusted data on GDP show that in the fourth quarter of 2015 it was higer by 0.6% than in the previous quarter, and by 2.6% higher than in the fourth quarter of 2014. GDP at current prices in 2015 totalled EUR 38.54 bn, which is nominally by 3.3% more than in 2014. Again export acted as the main driving force, which last year expanded by 5.2%.
The inhabitants of Slovenia have finally relaxed a bit, and opened their wallets. The domestic consumption in the last quarter of the previous year increased by 3.7%, and rose by 2.1% on annual basis. In the final quarter household consumption grew by 2.6.
In 2015 the total value added of the Slovenian economy rose by 2.9%, manufacturing contributing most to economic growth, i.e. 1.2 percentage points.
