1969 - two weeks after the famous Woodstock music festival took place the Isle of Wight opened. In two days 150,000 visitors enjoyed performances by some of the biggest music stars. There were Bob Dylan, Edgar Broughton Band, Joe Cocker, Aynsley Dunbar, Richie Havens, The Moody Blues, Tom Paxton, The Pretty Things, Third Ear Band and The Who. Among the visitors were Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, John & Yoko, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Jane fonder, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.

1969 - Zager and Evans are at the top of the British charts with 'In The Year 2525.'

1975 - KC and the Sunshine Band take the No. 1 spot on the American charts with the song 'Get Down Tonight'.
