Schools in Slovenia dedicated the day to promoting a culture of non-violence and tolerance today. This comes in the aftermath of a deadly school shooting in Serbia. The initiative was put forward by the government, which provided schools with some material earlier this week. The focus was on civil discourse, emotional resilience, and appropriate responses to violence.
Slovenia was marking Europe Day celebrations yesterday. There was a number of events taking place around the country. This this year, the focus was on promoting green transition, sustainability and the European Year of Skills.
Archaeologists in Sweden have recently come across a "unique" discovery - well-preserved spices at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. On Sunday, Parisians voted to ban electric rental scooters. Since their introduction in 2018, self-service scooters have built a following among people, including tourists, who don't want or can't afford their own but like the option to escape the Metro and other public transport. This will make Paris the first European capital to completely ban such service.
