The number of commercial flights in Slovenia last year was 41% below the 2019 average - the biggest drop in the EU. The Ministry of Infrastructure announced state subsidies for ten routes in a bid to increase the number of flights in Slovenia. The priority list includes ten destinations. Many of you are familiar with the taste of the popular Swiss Toblerone chocolates with their recognizable triangular shape. As the manufacturer is now moving part of its production from Switzerland’s Bern to Slovakia, it has to remove the image of the Swiss mountain Matterhorn from the packaging.
Last month, the Slovenian Employment Agency published new subsidies worth 23,7 million euro that aim to encourage employers to hire young people for an indefinite period. Sandi Meke, who coordinates services for employers at the Employment Service of Slovenia says the project's main goal is to support the transition of youth from the school system into the labor market. The European Commission has banned its staff from using Tik Tok on their phones and corporate devices. The commission said it was implementing measures to "protect data and increase cybersecurity".
