Danes si bomo ogledali Eminemov poskus, da bi z novo pesmijo 'Houdini' njegova kariera izginila.
Njegov novi album je izšel po albumu Music To Be Murdered By iz leta 2020 in Eminem je še naprej obljubljal uničenje svojega alter ega – ki ga je leta 1999 populariziral album The Slim Shady LP – z lažno resničnim zločinom o smrti lika, temu pa je sledila dejanska osmrtnica, ki je bila objavljena v Detroit Free Press.
»Houdini« je nekakšen povratni klic njegovemu singlu »Without Me« iz leta 2002, toda bolj vplivna interpolacija, uporabljena v pesmi, ki sta jo producirala Eminem in njegov dolgoletni sodelavec Luis Resto, prihaja iz »Abracadabra« od Steve Miller Band.
"Abracadabra" je bil izdan kot prvi singl z istoimenskega albuma iz leta 1982. V ZDA je bil dva tedna na št. 1 na Billboard Hot 100, največja uspešnica v dosedanji karieri Steva Millerja in njihova zadnja uspešnica med 10 najboljših v ZDA.
To je bila tretja uspešnica skupine v ZDA skupaj s "The Joker" in "Rock'n Me".
Steve Miller Band je bil ustanovljen leta 1966 v San Franciscu. Skupina je imela niz hitov od sredine do poznih sedemdesetih let prejšnjega stoletja, ki so postali stalnica klasičnega rocka ter več albumov psihedeličnega rocka in so še vedno aktivni.
Leta 2016 je bil Steve Miller kot samostojni umetnik sprejet v Dvorano slavnih rokenrola.

In the past years we’ve exposed the background and samples of newer hits and evergreens. This year we will focus on songs that are most frequently sampled in the music industry. This week we have arrived at number 49 of our chart. Number 49 of the most often sampled songs is 'Blow your head' from Fred Wesley and the J.B.'s. This James Brown influenced funk creation offers an exceptional intro to the song, that many musicians, mostly hip hop artists of the 90's, used as sample for their own songs.
