A number of civil society and non-governmental organisations that have formed an initiative dubbed the Voice of the People has addressed a number of concrete requests connected to the rule of law, welfare, climate change, housing policy and the elderly, ahead of the general election, scheduled for 24 February next year. They called on political parties to take their position. The initiave already consists of 57 visible organisations.

These are the findings of the Radiometrija project and the Mediana survey into the listening habits of Slovenia's radio listeners.

A new law banning abortions in the US state of Texas is being celebrated by some and strongly opposed by others. Named the »Hearbeat Act«, it bans abortions from as early as six weeks into pregnancy. It restricts access to abortions after the detection a foetal heartbeat - at around six weeks - a point when many women do not even know they're pregnant.
