Comic educates young about EU

Embark on a fun and educational adventure with Zeus, Europa, Sara and Tomaž and learn about the history, functioning and importance of the European Union and the benefits it brings, especially to young people, all this with a comic, entitled The Power of Europe. Talking to us was ANDREJ MIHOLIČ, the comic's editor, of the EU Parliament Office in Ljubljana. The comic was published by the EU Parliament Office in Slovenia in cooperation with illustrator CIRIL HORJAK. SPOTLIGHT - UN and Slovenia call for end to war in Sudan

In the shadows of the ongoing deadly conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine, the UN Security Council managed to pass two resolutions dealing with another crisis in Sudan. The Security Council adopted two resolutions. Slovenia voted for both. The first calls for a ceasefire during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the second calls for extending the mandates of the experts overseeing the sanctions against Sudan. The UN says the war threatens to trigger “the world’s largest hunger crisis” affecting the entire region. Photo: AP
