Slovenia is a unique country in more ways than one… For its small size and population, It has 46 dialects and is diverse in nature, it's language has a dual form, one in 20 Slovenians keeps bees, and it has a public holiday called Culture Day.
It falls on the 8th of February every year, the day Slovenia's most famous poet France Prešeren died back in 1849. The 8th of February celebrates culture.

Nobel Prizes were given out last week by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute, and the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The Nobel prizes have been given out since 1901. It originally included five prizes: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature and Peace. A sixth prize for achievements in the field of Economics was included in 1969.
On Monday, the 26th Festival of Slovenian Film kicked off in Portorož. It will feature 55 films in the competition section and four world premieres.
